The Roundhouse, Roundhouse Road, Pride Park, Derby DE24 8JE
The Summer Market will be held at the historic Roundhouse on Pride Park in Derby. The venue is a stunning Grade II* listed building full of railway history.
This year will see the 7th annual Summer Market held at The Roundhouse. I have chosen to use The Roundhouse as the venue for my handpicked food and gift markets as it’s a truly stunning venue and unlike any other venue I’ve visited… as soon as you walk through the entrance, I’m sure you’ll agree!
The Roundhouse offers great access via road, rail, bus and foot path from Derby City Centre. Derby Train Station could not be closer and offers a very short walk across the road to the main entrance of the event. The venue offers 3 large parking areas for the event, but we do recommend travelling by train as the car parks can become busy.
There is a cash machine located within The Roundhouse. Many exhibitors also accept card payments.
The venue offers a large number of car parking spaces. Parking at The Roundhouse is charged at £2 per car. Skip the queues and travel to the event by train. Derby Train Station couldn’t be closer to the venue. Please note: the car parks are run independently by The Roundhouse and are not managed by the event organiser.
The Roundhouse is easily accessible for all visitors. Listed buildings can often pose difficulties for those with limited mobility or other disabilities. When The Roundhouse at Derby was refurbished and restored to its former glory, one of the key requirements was that the design scheme should create an environment that is easily accessible by everyone. This has certainly been achieved. Level thresholds, lift access to all rooms and floors, and a colour and signage scheme that provides easy navigation for the partially and non-sighted have all been incorporated.
